MT FWP Sage Grouse IC Challenge for 6-12 grades during March-May

MT FWP invites YOUR class to the lek this spring.

The MT FWP Sage Grouse IC Challenge is set to open again in mid-March.  Middle and High School students across the state last year tussled with conservation and land use issues surrounding sage grouse and posed their solutions.  YOUR class can participate this March-May in the MT FWP Sage Grouse IC Challenge--a problem-based simulation FREE to Montana classrooms.

The MT FWP Sage Grouse IC Challenge in YOUR classroom.

Using the interactive IC Challenge platform students tackle a real-world problem involving sage grouse habitat while considering stakeholder needs and land use issues.  Their voices will be heard as they propose creative solutions based on solid research all contained within the platform.  The teacher dashboard allows you to manage student work easily.  Use this as a whole class activity, student teams, or individual study.  Embed this simulation in your curriculum the way you want to use it to bring authentic learning into your classroom and engage with experts.

This simulation project is sponsored by Montana FWP and is free to Montana schools through support from Montana Outdoor Legacy Foundation, Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, Weyerhauser Family Foundation, TransCanada, Cabelas, Liz Claiborne and Art Ortenberg Foundation.
