Description: This program is similar to our Bear Hibernation but is geared for students in grades k-3. Students will view videos from a real bear den and explore the question of whether bears are true hibernators

Description:: During this video conference students will have the opportunity to compare healthy streams and rivers to contaminated water. We will dive into the underwater world of the micro invertebrate to learn about indicator species!
EXAMINING ANIMAL SIGNS: SCAT AND TRACKS

Description: Did you ever think that you would sculpt mountain lion poop? or compare your foot to that of a 300 lbs black bear? During this class we will examine animal signs to help us figure out who else was in the forest.

Description: View the inside of a real bear den and discuss what bears do during the winter months in Montana.
BIRDS AND THE DAWN CHORUS

Description: Learn about the highly structured Dawn Chorus that songbirds sing in during those early hours and discuss why they choose this time of day.
CONDUCTION, CONVECTION AND RADIATION: HEAT TRANSFER DETECTIVES

Description: During the lesson students will participate in three short experiments that illustrate heat transfer. They will then participate in a discussion that explores heat transfer in buildings and help diagnose why a house is cold and drafty.
